It's really cool to see how important color language is in not just religions, but movies, television, magazines, and basically all types of storytelling. And especially how differently colors can be interpreted. For instance, during Lent, in the Catholic church the color purple represents pain and penance. But in the film Unbreakable, Samuel L Jacksons character is always around some type of purple because it is associated with royalty and magic. Black is often associated with death or sadness in many views, but here it represents strength and wisdom. It's funny how one single color can mean so many different themes depending on the outlet it's being used in.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool how we can look at color and see so much out of it. One of my favorite colors is blue and to see that blue truly does fit my life is just amazing.
